The Three Breast Types

Solid (standard) breasts are made of the same TPE or silicone as the body. They are the most durable option and keep their shape forever, but they feel firmest to the touch.

Hollow breasts are air-filled. They are soft and jiggly, weigh less, and cost nothing extra on most bodies. The downside: they can lose a little fullness over years and feel less "real" than gel.

Gel-filled breasts contain a soft silicone gel insert. They squish, wobble and settle like natural tissue — owners consistently rate them the most realistic feel. The gel is sealed inside the breast, so nothing leaks under normal use.

How They Feel

Pick up a gel breast and it flows. Press it and it yields slowly, then returns. Hollow feels soft but empty; solid feels dense. Gel sits convincingly between the two — this is why most experienced buyers choose it.

Durability and Care

Gel breasts are durable but should not be punctured, compressed under heavy weight for long periods, or exposed to extreme heat. Normal handling, dressing and cuddling are completely safe. If a gel insert were ever damaged, the breast skin contains it — it cannot leak into the body.

Price and Recommendation

Gel typically adds $50-150 depending on the brand. If touch realism matters to you, gel breasts are the best value upgrade available — more impactful than most cosmetic options. For a display-only doll, standard solid is fine. When in doubt, choose gel.
